Use an Alert Policy such as Critical, Normal or Unimportant on any server. Or give each server its own custom policy. Heres an example policy for a website. "Send me a notification and an email when my website goes offline for 10 minutes, and only send one alert." Heres a more advanced policy for your companys database server. "If the servers latency is greater than 1000ms for 10 minutes, or if its offline for 5 minutes, send an email alert to me and send both an email and an SMS alert to my IT sysadmin. Repeat the alert a maximum of 3 times." Alerts can include emails with multiple recipients, SMS text messages to anywhere in the world with multiple recipients, on-screen alerts, notifications, sounds and dock icon badge. Is a server not important? Just switch its alerts off. Server Ranger 2 can continue to monitor the server, logging its performance and uptime. LOGS Server Ranger logs every response from your devices. Spot patterns of poor performance and print or export the evidence to a CSV file.
